You Spent the Rest of Your Life With Me 💔

As I was scrolling through TikTok, I came across a grieving widow’s post that had this image and message. It stopped me in my tracks. The words fit me perfectly, and I knew I had to share them for myself.

I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you.
And then I realized you spent the rest of your life with me.
I smile because I know you loved me till the day you went away, and will keep loving me till the day we’re together again.

These words capture exactly how I feel. I never imagined I would lose my husband at 57. I was just 26 when we got married, and he was 30. We look like babies in our engagement photo! I absolutely cherish our love and am so grateful to have had such a loving husband for 30 years.

But no matter how much time we’re given... it’s never long enough. 💔

He’s been promoted to Heaven—and I like to think he’s on assignment now, watching over me until we’re together again.

Time is short. Styles change. People change.
